For over 13 years, women
and children have resided in the shelter at Hope House's Independence
campus. To meet the increasing number and needs of victims of domestic
violence, Hope House has created and launched a capital campaign,
Building Hope.
Building Hope
will construct a new, larger Therapy Building and will transform
the existing Therapy Building into a Community Partnership Center.
Interior and exterior improvements will be made to the existing
Shelter Building, Court and Legal Services Building and Family Services
Building as well. In addition, Building Hope will include
upgrades to the existing security system and grow the operating
reserve.
As of September 2008,
Building Hope has raised $1,741,515 in cash (plus in-kind
labor and material contributions) toward our $5 million goal.
